Therapy Goals
- Develop skills and strategies for listening selectively and discriminating with the auditory modality.
- Increase phonemic awareness of speech sounds that may impact reading and spelling skills.
- Increase attention and the ability to comprehend verbal information and follow verbal directions.
Note: Training in lip reading and other compensatory strategies for the hearing impaired can also be addressed.
