Therapy Goals
- Increase speech clarity reduced by a neuromuscular impairment causing the speech mechanism (larynx, lips, tongue, palate, and jaw) to be paralyzed, weak, or poorly coordinated.
Laura S. Smith MS, CCC-SLP, OMT is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist. She holds a Master's degree in Communication Disorders (with a minor in Special Education) and the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
